My last day of being a teenager!
Just as I have done with every one of my electronic journals, I have forgotten about it. I remembered I even owned this one yesterday so I decided to attempt to keep a somewhat consistent journal, again... Anyway, the updates of my life: I am currently taking summer classes at Miami which have been very, very busy, I work at the university bookstore (whoo hoo) and as a tour guide, I am becoming better at cornhole thanks to the fact that there is hardly anything else to do around Oxford, and I am very bored. :0)
So yeah, 20. 1/5th of a century, that seems like a better way to look at it. 20 is one of those "useless" years, in a way. Kind of like 17 or 28. Everyone wants to know when it will be your 21st so they can get you completely shwasted. Nope, I'm turning 20. If I had been born a couple of centuries ago, I probably would have had 4 children by this point and have already passed most of my life. Kind of interesting to think about. Maybe? I think so.
Summer is actually turning out to be sort of fun. My summer session I classes were very intense and I am glad to be done with them. I only have one course on Monday and Wednesday nights which I have become very interested in. The class deals with improving social skills in students with disabilities. Thanks to my newly acquired Special Education minor, I have really been introduced to a side of education and society that I didn't know existed. It is amazing how far and how much more to go that students with disabilities have. It has been really nice having so many of people staying in Oxford. I couldn't imagine doing this alone. It does get lonely at points (as it is now considering that I am the only one in the apartment) but there is usually something going on at night. Tomorrow I will be working at the bookstore from 10-5 (yes, on my birthday) and then on Saturday for Inventory. After work, Mom is picking me up and taking me home for the weekend. It has been a while since I have been home. I really do miss it, alot. I know I'm still not at all stable with the divorce situation so it is still a very sore subject. It sucks, I'm not going to lie. It just makes things so awkward.
Anyway, things coming up: lots of work, home this weekend, Gatlinburg trip with Dad and the siblings next weekend, possibly a trip to Chicago, working, a trip to Cedar Point, work, then home for a week before Band Camp. Wow.
I'm bored with this so I'm going to end it. I'll fill ya in later. Ciao.
